Looking forward to driving the kids crazy with my off-key singing, eating way too many cookies and playing in the snow
but most of all being together after all the festivities are over.
We hope everybody has a wonderful and safe holiday!!!
We’ve all come across countless posts and images of the perfect or ultimate chocolate chip cookie recipe, I know I have.
Each one basically called for similar ingredients and techniques.
So why would this one be any different? You’ll need to try it out and see for yourself it’s amazing!
I wanted a cookie that stayed soft and chewy for days, that was salty yet sweet, with a nice buttery taste and
amazing melt in your mouth chocolate in every bite.
So here it is:
The kind of chocolate really does make a world of difference, my go to in Ghirardelli milk chocolate of cacao, if you want the chocolate to stay soft and ooze out of every bite go with the 60% cacao chips.
2 1/3 sticks salted butter
2 extra large eggs
3 cups of sifted flour
2 cups of sugar
3 tablespoons of full flavor molasses
1 tablespoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon of salt
1/4 teaspoon pure vanilla
10 ounces of chocolate chips
mix together butter, sugar, baking soda, molasses and salt
then add flour and eggs
finally the vanilla and chocolate chips
Place in a 365 degree oven 8-9 minutes for individual round cookies (makes 3 dozen)
or bake for 15-23 minutes for a cookie sheet cake, time varies based on depth of baking sheet.
(prepare pan with spray pan with coconut oil and dust with flour)
